A local artist, Callie Paul, has created four original works. They are wood block prints whose subjects are animals that we have rescued. Here is the artist's appeal in her own words:
The purpose of these works is to raise awareness and support for the Greene County Humane Society. Although these represent successful adoptions, other animals aren't as fortunate, and are in desperate need of having loving homes. It is only through the generous contributions of the community that the shelter continues to thrive.
These prints are reproductions of four hand-carved wood block prints that depict actual pets adopted from the GCHS. Each print comes with the story of the adopted pet, as well as a copy of the artist's
statement above. All proceeds benefit the Greene County Humane Society. Matted prints are $15 and unmatted prints are $10. They are on sale at the lobby of the shelter.
