All Natural Dog Biscuits
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 tsp. onion or garlic powder
- 1/2 cup powdered dry milk
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- t tbsp. margarine, lard, or bacon fat (the last is best)
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. brown sugar
- 1/2 cup water
Directions
Mix flour, dry milk, and salt. Cut in the shortening until the mixture resembles cornmeal. Beat egg and sugar together and add to the dry mixture. Add water to make the dough stiff. Knead until smooth and pliable. Roll out to 1/2-in. thickness. Use a cookie cutter to make various shapes. Bake on a greased cookie sheet at 325 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. To harden even more, leave in the oven after turning off the heat. Store in airtight container.
