We'd like to share with you some locations on the web. Some of these organizations are engaged in helping animals, or people who have animals. Others are commercial sites with products or information that you may find useful. We have looked at each site but we make no recommendations or guarantees about any products, services, or content.

	Petfinder puts homeless pets and people together. There are ads for missing pets, and a list of shelters (that did not work).
	This Greene County Humane Society is in Tennessee, but they have a wonderful web site. It was by accident that we discovered the Greene County Humane Society web site (we are the Humane Society of Greene County) but they were helpful to us when we began, and are doing the same kind of good work that we do. We hope to remain friends forever. Pay them a visit.
Canine Connections	Canine Connections is breed-oriented, and contains an immense database of breed information, breed rescue organizations, clubs, and lots more. If you are interested in particular breeds of dogs, this site is top-notch. This site has both free and paid listings.
Federated Humane Societies of Pennsylvania	If you are interested in the laws and enforcement that underlie animal humane treatment in Pennsylvania, check the Federated Humane Societies of Pennsylvania. These folks lobby in Harrisburg as well, and our organization is a member of this group.
	Petsmart is a pet supply company that also helps our Humane Society to place animals. They have a location at the Washington County Mall. You will often find dogs and cats from us available there.
	Animal Friends no-kill shelter in Pittsburgh.
	American Kennel Club. This organization has a list of breed rescue groups. You can contact these breed rescue groups if you want to adopt a particular breed.
	NetPets, an internet pet group with a list of breed rescue groups. NetPets also sponsors the MilitaryPetsFOSTER Project to foster pets for overseas military families.
	This site discusses arthritis in dogs and cats, and is part of the Arthritis and Glucosamine Resource Center for humans. These folks promote the use of glucosamine to cure joint problems. Balance this information with a visit to the vet.
	PA visitor's net has links to activities for visitors to our state. They were kind enough to add us to their site.
	The ASPCA has a very neat site, with information on pet care, animal poison control, and animal abuse by organizations that use animals for show (circuses, etc.), along with other information on cruelty to animals.
	SitnScoop offers pet care services in the Pittsburgh, PA area, but also represents Western PA Animal Rescue.
	The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) is a volunteer organization that helps animals in this country. The Greene County Humane Society is not affiliated with HSUS.
	Cat-dog-names.com can be a source of inspiration for new pet caretakers naming their pets.
	Dogs Deserve Better, Inc. promotes keeping dogs with the family rather than alone outside.
